Income inequality is at its worst in living memory, and it is getting worse. Last year, the pay of FTSE 100 company directors rose by 49%, while the incomes of their employees fell in real terms.

With politicians and businesses finally waking up to the fact that inequality is not only bad for those at the bottom, but is also holding back our economy and threatening our social fabric, it is more urgent than ever that we campaign for a more equal society.

One Society is working with policy makers across the political spectrum, and with employers and investors. Our research is allowing us to make the social, economic and business case for reducing income inequality. We are proposing policies that are winning increasing support.
