The case for political parties

In February 2009, Demos, commissioned by One Society, published three reports calling on Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrats to take equal responsibility in tackling current levels of inequality in the UK.

These reports show that the growing gulf between rich and poor is a problem for all three parties, but that each party’s tradition requires a different approach in addressing the issue.

   Society of Equals – Labour

Everyday Equality – Conservative

Wealth of Opportunity – Liberal Democrats

We have also worked closely with the Green Party – especially Assembly Members of the GLA – on several fair pay issues.
